W-1019 Splice Strips & Nut Plates

Can the holes for the K1100-08 nutplates be dimpled instead of counter sunk, then dimple the K1100-08 nutplates? In other places in the plans this is called out, for example step 4 on page 18-5 says to dimple the K1100-08 nutplates and shims. Yet on page 17-3 step 7 it says to CS the nutplate attachment holes on the splice strip. As I'm sure you can guess I"ve already dimpled the nutplate attachment holes on the splice strip, and it happened since I'd just done the same for the tank shim. :)

I also found a pdf of the RV-14 plans where these are dimpled but it calls out a nutplate K1100-08D. I assume this might be a pre-dimpled nutplate?

Thanks,
Lynn

Ordered K1100-08D

In case anyone is curious, I called Van's and they suggested just ordering the K1100-08D nutplates, so that's what I did.
