Blank engine data plate

I bought an engine core and with some help from the local engine rebuilding shop made it an XIO-540; now I need a data plate. My search of the normal sites/companies has turned up empty. Does anyone know where I can buy an engine data plate? Thanks! -Jim

Heelo Jim,

I know at work if we are changing a data tag on one of the turbine engines we have to have Honeywell and the FAA involved.

Hey Curtis, I'm not trying to recreate the old, but rather make a new experimental engine. I may just go to the local engraving shop and have them make something up. Now how to pick a serial number... start with 001, random number generator, birthday? Hmmm... TWYL, -Jim

I'm also looking for a Ly-clone engine data plate. It would be nice to find one that is acid-etched like the original. Perhaps a company like Nostalgic Reflections could be convinced to make a run of them.

Mine is just a piece of .063 with a serial #.

AERO-in-Stock sold blank data plates for ECI engines back when they were ECI dealers. Call AERO.
