Removing the screws on the gascolator is a challenge due to the screws being slotted and the limited space. Installing cap screws AKA socket head screws makes performing Gascolator maintenance much easier.
I replaced mine with the following pre-drilled (for safety wire) socket head (Allen wrench) screws from McMaster-Carr.
Here is what is listed on the box. You should be able to find them with this info:
10-24 x 1/4
Stainless 18-8
