Kx-155 Repair?

Does anybody have any recommendations on where to send a Kx-155 in for repair? When my radio heats up or transmits too long it starts shutting off. Definatly seems to be a bench type of repair.

At what point do old radios reach the do not resuscitate stage ?
A friend if mine just payed last respects to his Narcos .
I have a new Garmin GTR 200 , lot of radio for a good price .
 
Pacific Coast Avionics at Aurora, OR will work on the KX-155. The tech there told me that "breed" is about the last of the radios that can be repaired. The newer stuff is "junk" when they break.
 
Just an FYI

Bendix King are moving to a flat rate repair pricing model starting Oct 1st, instead of their tiered pricing model.

I think BK authorized dealers probably send the stuff back to Olathe anyway.

I ended up sending the unit to Pacific Coast. But they opened it up and quickly said it needed to go to Bendix King. $700 later the radio is working great.
Hope that never happens again...

Your lucky, they charge $275 just to look at it !!!

We just send one in this week and expect the worst $$$$ wise.
