As some of you know this combination is an option from Vans/Lycoming on the Thunderbolt. The issue is that the kit stock mixture setup geometry does not work with the FM-150 and you need to fabricate new brackets. To remedy this, AFP has a new bracket kit that keeps the stock throttle and mixture cables and allows a simple installation. Just spoke with Don and he expects them to be available mid April / after Sun N Fun.

One more point is that a couple of the kit fuel lines need to be changed as well when you use the FM-150. I know that Aircraft Specialty and TS Flightlines have the proper length upgraded lines and full FWF fuel line kits if you want nice fire sleeved replacement lines.

Chris helped us develop the FWF package for the Thunderbolt engine with the FM150 fuel servo as well as the single and dual PMAG setup for the RV-14.

He is correct that the stock lines will not all work with this fuel servo, and the stock manifold pressure line will also not work with the PMAG setup.

We offer complete firewall forward kits for the -14/-14A in a variety of mag and servo combinations. (As well as a list of firewall forward component deletions if you utilize our kit) As Chris said, we firesleeve ALL fuel and oil lines in our package.

If you already have the stock Van's firewall forward hoses and just need the replacement lines to work with your FM150 servo, or PMAGs, Tom and I can absolutely help with the firewall forward hose differences also.

Happy Building
Steve
