F-789 Elevator push rod

My elevator push rod is hitting the bottom of the opening in F-705. This occurs when the stick is going through the neutral position. Anyone else have this problem?

Yup. There was actually a thread a week or so ago addressing this very problem. Quite common, mine was the same. Seems the consensus was to file what was required off of the bulkhead. It took a few iterations but it wont take much to get it right.

Hard to get a file in there but do not want to take the rod back out!
A small file and lots of elbow grease.
 
I'm thinking I may "thoroughly debur" that opening in F705 before assembling the center and aft sections... since it's easily accessible now and has no pushrod through it. It seems to be a common problem.
