I'm New Here
HI to all this Is my first post.Iam building a RV =12.
I have a small problem I'am a big man with short legs I connot add a third
hinge it
puts me too far up. I hit the stick. And still short for fill ruder
Has any one have a fix. thank you all.

Several builders have made rudder/brake pedal extensions of various designs. A search should find some examples. I've made a couple of sets recently for others, and as Hal-san said, I understand that Van's also have something in the pipeline.
 
Would a thicker seat back help? You can get Abby at Flightline interiors to customize one for you.
 
Have you actually tried the "third hinge"? It solved the problem for me very well, yet in theory I had no hope for it actually working so well.
 
pedal extensions

Mike Seeger was promoting a pair at the expo in Bend last summer. They
were made by one of his students as I recall.
The extenders were very easy to install or remove according to Mike.
I will not need any so unfortunately did not ask any questions.

Mike is not marketing a rudder pedal extension for the RV-12, but a set has been developed at Van's that can be installed or removed in about a minute.
They should be coming available very soon. E-mail or call if interested.
