East vs West

I have been using the East system resin lately on non structural small items. It works well, seems to cure the same as West system, and is a bit cheaper. Purchased at the local marine supply store.
However I have discovered a characteristic I wasn?t aware of.
The East system thickens up in the can quicker than West system resin. Soaking the container in hot water thins it out nicely again, but that thinner viscosity doesn?t last nearly as long as I?d like.
If you?re going to use the resin up quickly, it?s great stuff. If you have some extended time between uses, I?m not sure the cheaper price is much of a bargain.
YMMV

I have successfully used total boat epoxy. It is a copy of west systems and components are interchangeable. I have found the characteristics to be identical to West, though a good bit less expensive.
