RV-14 Firewall

Here is a picture of the RV14 firewall. It is a very nice piece of work made from four separate pieces of stainless steel. The mess you see is the 3M Firebarrier 2000+ that I used instead of the recommended ProSeal. I had not thought to clean up prior to snapping the pic.
Note the nicely rounded exit for the cooling air. There is a stainless steel duct that goes aft of the firewall and is nested in the tunnel between the pilot and passenger. This should help with cooling and also drag reduction.

The firewall parts are all very nice and quite sturdy.

I finally got around to finishing a few of the firewall details.

Note the battery box in place, a "pad" for a solenoid, two heat boxes, and two stainless steel carry throughs for wiring and cables.
The heat boxes are aluminum on the firewall but the door flap itself, and hardware, are stainless controlled from the inside.
Here is a shot of the carry throughs, I have used these on other planes but they are included in this kit, a nice touch.
