canopy question

has any one put a rv8 canopy on a rv4 . or are the caponies different thereby not making it possible

I put a rocket canopy on a -4 and used the -8 windshield bow (modified). Yeah, you can do it in my opinion.

May I ask what your reasoning is? I'd like a slider on my 4 when taxiing, but when in flight , there is no canopy bow in view, and I believe it's the best view one could ask for.

I saw a recent add for a -8 canopy for sale and assumed he just wanted to use the bubble and not make it a slider like I did. Slider or not the bubbles start out the same so the question is will it fit I think. You can call Todd of Todd's Canopies and ask him for the size differences of his -8 and -4 canopies.
