Brake resevoir mounting

According to the plans, the brake reservoir is always on the engine side of the firewall... for as far as I understood the plans and saw pictures on most of the builders websites.
You drill the reservoir arms through the F-601L-1 stiffener. The angle is on the cabin side so it would be quite difficult to mount the brake reservoir cabin side.

Since I don't have the passenger brake option, I'm planning on mounting the reservoir on the left side of the firewall. Without the need to run lines to the passenger side, it seems to me that left side makes more sense than right side.
