Connector for Key Wires

Should I use a connector on the wires going to the key?
Has anyone used a connector just behind the key so that you can remove the panel and just unplug the key wires?

Do you remove the panel much once the airplane is done and flying?

Is there any real need for a connector for the key? Are unscrewing the wires good enough?

Thanks

I have a Bendix o/l/r/b switch, takes about 15 seconds to pull the whole tumbler out, but I have easy access to the key position. Not found a need to access it but to check for loose wires once.

The knew switch installs from he back, so if you want to remove the panel, you just remove the nut on the front and the key falls out the back. This is one place I would not put a connector.
