Just to clarify, I have invested over $300 in materials, but I am giving this crate away FREE to anyone who can use it.
I have a wooden crate that I built to ship my completed RV-7 fuselage from NC to TX. (Recently moved to Burleson, TX near Ft Worth Spinks airport.) The crate dimensions are 16' (L) x 4' (W) x 4' (H). The crate is on 4 castors. (2 locking) It also has a hinged front section with a key lock hasp. Crate was loaded into an enclosed semi trailer for the trip so it has not been exposed to the elements.
If anyone in the area is interested and has the ability to pick it up from my home, please send me an email. Crate weighs approximately 500lbs-600lbs as calculated from material list. Over $300 invested in materials alone. I want to unpack my fuselage and get the space back in my garage.
