I use 100 mph downwind, abeam numbers go half flaps and slow to 90 mph. I hold 90 mph till on final and then full flaps and slow to 80 mph solo or 85 mph dual.

Walmart has a great bike grip made by bell that works perfect for a matching set of stick and flap handle grips.

Vfe 90 kts (103 mph) for any extension. Look at upgrading the flap connecting rods to the newer hex rod, just, because.

In KIAS: 90 downwind, 80 base, 70 final is a good start, milk the final speed down closer to 60 as you get more comfortable.

What do you mean by 'grip'? That handle is just tough, this fix helped ours quite a bit.
