3B-Which Dynon Pitch Servo

Special Delivery

Well Known Member
I'm currently flying Fred Bauer's 3B (N313RV) with a TruTrak "C" pitch servo (image below) and a "B" roll servo. Fred's build notes indicate the TruTrak "B" model didn't have enough torque to adequately control pitch and changed it to a "C" model which seems to work well with the unbalanced elevator.

I'm currently in the completion stage of another 3B (N3BB) and will be installing Dynon servos. Looking for someone with Dynon servos installed in a flying 3B who's willing to share first hand experience/recommendations? SV32, SV42, SV52?

Thanks in advance

Perhaps not all similar

The conservative approach would install enough servo to handle full forward cg, however that may be unnecessary depending on pilot weight, equipment, and etc. I'd be curious and note where typical cg is when "x" servo works well. Pitch force is very light when near the rear limit (5 fingered servo):D
