Voltage Regulator

I know this topic has been discussed a lot. I bought a Silent Hektik regulator and am getting ready to install it. Earlier this year, I saw a post from a fellow that did a really nice job installing a Silent Hektik. He routed the blast tube from the left side of the engine, taping into the big air duct that supplies the radiator. He put a hole in the top in front of the radiator and then routed the blast tube to the sheet metal cover on the top of the regulator. It was very well done and he included several pictures of the installation. He said he positioned the hole for the blast tube so that he still had room to install a Bender Baffle, if he decides to do so it the future.

My problem is I have searched for, and can't find that post and his pictures. Can someone help me find that post and pictures?

Thanks so much.

I believe this is what you might be talking about. I asked Van's support about this since it used to be a part of the lighting kit. (DWG 40-14) I just purchased the lighting kit to add it to my RV-12 and noticed it was not included. This is their reply as to why it is no longer part of the lighting kit.

"The F-00002 was found to be ineffective and potentially cause higher temperatures, no longer recommended. We do have a different voltage regulator option if you would like to install it during your build but is in no way mandatory. New kits sipping today will have the new regulator." cost for the regulator and installation kit is $495
