Removing prop tape

It's probably somewhere in the forum but a quick search didn't pull it up for me. So what's the easiest way to remove prop tape from an aluminum prop without damaging the paint? Heat gun? Pinstripe removal wheel or eraser wheel...?

I've done it before on a Hartzell BA prop

I used a heat gun to soften it up as I went. Then I used Goof-Off to get any left over residue off.
Worked ok.
Don't get carried away with the heat gun, though. Just use what it takes to get the job done.

+1 for the heat gun on low.
Some plain rubbing alcohol got rid of any residue. Tape had been on for 3 years; could have probably gone longer but it was starting to look a little ratty.
