Default Wing root rubber U edging

The flying RV-12 I just purchased has a gap between the the wing root and the fuselage. I'm considering adding a rubber U channel to fill the gap. See http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-32-Rubber-...1T6jD-&vxp=mtr or perhaps this http://www.ebay.com/itm/321864818249

Any other suggestions?

Van's provided a wing root foam rubber seal with the kit and you should have received it. Works very well!
