Default Sure

I plan to be there. Final inspection was this past Sunday. Just waiting for CofA and planning to get it painted while I'm away at some remote desert location.

I am sure the more the better. Just line through the 7 and write in a 6B. 9s can line through the 9 and write in 6C.

This year's big summer vacation was either STT or OSH, family presence made it STT. Next year will be OSH, even if I am there alone.

Maybe if -9's arrive inverted they can be part of the celebration?

From Rosie: STT.....yea...I'd of picked STT also... and landed our RV there

Van's website is a little misleading on some dates. For example their website states that the -6, -6A, and the slider canopy all happened in 1986. That's not quite right. The -6A and slider fuselage kits didn't begin shipping until 1990.
Antique/classic aircraft: Aircraft built at least 30 years ago, or an aircraft issued an experimental certificate under FAR 21.191(d) or (g) for operation as an exhibition aircraft or as an amateur-built that has the same external configuration as an aircraft built at least 30 years ago may display marks at least 2 inches high.

I guess the date that the first prototypes appeared is the date needed.

That would be the date.
AND, that is also the date that one can substitute an "X" within the "N" number for the "experimental" placard. ref. 45.22(1)(ii).

Thumbs up 30th Anniversary -6

Rosie,
Very exciting! I have a -6, #20248. The empennage was delivered to a close friend of mine in 1987. Anticipating first engine start in Aug and first flight in Sept. I am certainly planning Oshkosh 2016!. Thank you for heading this up!

Count me in! I purchased a beautiful RV-6 in June, and I'm anxious to attend my first OSH next year! Thank you for heading this up Rosie, and I look forward to meeting you and the entire -6 community. Planning the vacation time now!

Default 30th Anniv. RV-6

Terri and I had a great time this year at Oshkosh and will be there with our -6 in 2016. Formation arrival and special parking for all RV aircraft is my hope.
