you do not want an angle valve engine in a RV-4 first off it, will be nose heavier than h...l. my 4 with a O-360 is forward of the envelope unless the front seat has 212 lbs in it. an angle valve would at least need the battery to be moved to the rear. the angle valve will not fit in the stock cowl without a lot of modification. finally, a heavy RV-4, which it would be with that setup, flies like **** compared to a light RV-4.

Does anyone know of a good 8?
Well now that you've decided upon which plane, the REAL work can begin. You can expect to put in a few hours searching for planes, searching for good Pre-Buy inspectors, and talking to sellers on the phone.

Not trying to disenchant you but your work has just begun.

I have 200 HP, constant speed, Garmin 396 in the back along with throttle and rudder pedals. It's well built, and straight and true. Roll bar moved back two inches, instrument panel trimmed an inch off the bottom. Full inverted oil, inverted pick-ups on each tank, accumulator, and smoke.
If you want it.... 174TT Af/engine.
