Sunriver Oregon Trip

This weekend my wife and I are flying up to Sunriver for a week of relaxation. We have reserved and AirBnB but are looking for suggestions on day trips, nearby flights to take and car rental.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Take a hike thru a cave or two in Sunriver. Fly to Sisters and bike to town. Air tour the Sisters Mountains for sure.

1. Lava River Cave, part of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, take a sweat shirt.

2. Big Obsidian Flow , south of Sunriver.

3. Benham Falls, short hike on the north side of Sunriver.

4. Rent Kayaks or a Canoe from the marina and float to the pickup spot, they bring you back.

5. Downtown Bend

6. Lots of biking in and around Sunriver,

7. Smith Rock State Park in Redmond, spectacular scenery

Cool places to eat or have a beer
-New food carts in the business park
-Mountain Jug in the business park(Beer and Growler fill station)
-Worthy Brewing in Bend
-Sunriver Brewing in the village
-10 Barrel in Bend
-Crux in Bend

Make sure you're flight up here takes you over Crater Lake. Hopefully the smoke will relent a bit and you can enjoy the view.

For short flights:
Newberry Crater
Fort Rock
... and your not that far from the Alvord Desert.

The High Desert Museum is very nice and close to the Lava Cast Forest.
