Finished up the left wing spar this weekend and decided to finish the right spar today.
Just realized that I match-drilled the upper j channel 8? and 6 ? sections on the flanges in reverse order. Ie. The short j- Chan should have been match drilled on inboard side and the long J- Chan on the outboard. I caught my mistake 4 holes in on the bottom flange, which was reversed as well.
I tried to match up the mis-drilled j- Chan pieces using multiple combinations, No joy. The j Chan is used later in construction, so I think it?s imperative to have them match drilled per the instructions, so unless there is another fix, I plan on ordering two new 8? sections of j-Chan and making a short section out of the jacked up 8? section.
Any better ideas would be appreciated.
