Conversion from fixed rudder to adjustable?

If your kit was QB or if you installed the nutplates required for the adjustable rudder pedals in the floor, it should be easy.

Rudder conversion

You will have to drop your cooling ramp. If yours uses a pin that can be pulled to lower the aft end of the ramp, you will be able to reach up inside and install a couple of nutplates to hold the aft pedal mount. The front mount can be accessed by removing the floor of the forward baggage compartment and the cowling.

Can someone provide a little more detail as to what is involved to do this? I'm still scratching my head after reading these posts. Also, in a flying plane how hard will this conversion be?

Rudder Pedals

Can someone clarify what exactly we are talking about? Did the early -8's utilize a fixed pedal location? I was only aware of the ground adjustable and the flight adjustable pedals.

Just curious.
