35-03 Gear Legs

Hi folks... I have a simple, I think, question as I am going to install the gear legs. Are the gear legs primed?

I suggest that you prime the legs before final assembly. The surfaces of the legs will oxidize if not protected. The exposed surfaces can be final painted after final assembly.
 
Lube

If you don't paint before final assembly' at least use generous amount of grease around where they insert into the fuselage. Once that area gets sealed up it difficult to access and corrosion is to be avoided.
 
Thanks everyone. I will either paint or prime the gear legs. Hoping for some warmer weather next week.
