aprs apps for ipod?

I've had mixed luck. The one app from the app store which I have NOT deleted is iBCNU.

However, what I use most is the http://aprs.fi website.I enter someone's tracker ID, and after it shows on the map, I bookmark to my home screen. That website is optimized Asa "mobile web app" so, once it is an icon on your home screen it's more like an append less like a web page. I have a folder on my iPhone with a handful of RVers in my area. (Yes, I track Vlad, mostly to torture myself for how often he flies.)

Another thing you may want to install is Google Earth and the use Joe Dubner's site http://mail2600.com/cgi-bin/everyone.cgi?

From that site you can grasp KML files for flights. They will load direct to Google Earth which can be fun to view in 3D.

Find Friends

I haven't personally used it but another pilot from my airport uses "Find Friends". He said his girlfriend says it works quite well to the point she could actually tell when he was circling a friends cottage.
