Automotive Fuselinks?

Bob has instructions for making your own fuselinks, but I was wondering what thoughts are on COTs automotive fuselinks. My main concern is corrosion...seems this is common issue from fuselink failure in cars.

I'm think about using 18g fuselink from Napa to protect 14g run directly from battery to E-bus relay and E-Bus. Relay and fuselink are forward of firewall, and E-bus behind instrument panel. < 6" of wire is powered normally from E-bus to relay.

Thanks! Tim

the problem is the material that they are made of. they most likely use vinyl insulation on them. Not the material that you want to use in an aircraft. make your own of of tefzel wire.
