TE of ailerons and flaps

The AEX wedge in the TE of the ailerons and flaps protrudes about 3/64? beyond the edge of the skins. I haven?t found any reference in the plans,or previous thread, relating to the finish detail for the TE. Is the plan to leave it as is, or remove/blunt the extra material to make it match up with the skins? It seems to me, left as is, will create an issue with paint adherence. It just seems kind of odd, since the TE of the elevators are so angular/clean.

Sterling at Van's observed both prototypes are flying with the small protruding wedge, and there has been no paint issues.

Any thoughts or feedback?

You can file them flush if you want. I think I will leave mine protruding to "protect" the trailing edges of the skins from hangar rash.
