Antispalt wheel mod

After 150 hr on the stock nosewheel I decided to try the Antisplat mod.

I had a slight shimmy that was a bit annoying. Swapping out the wheels was a very quick job, greased the zerk and checked the pull out while it was all exposed

Result: Less rolling resistance, shimmy almost totally gone

Think it is worth the bucks

I had the nose wheel mod done at my last condition inspection. Since I work a couple miles away from Allan's shop I dropped the wheel off while on the way to my job, then picked it up the next day while taking lunch. I was noticing some 'skipping' on landing after lowering the nose wheel with the original bearings--I think this was caused by the drag of the bearings. I never had any shimmy. The new bearings roll much more freely and there is no noticeable 'skip' upon lowering the nose wheel. I'm happy with the mod, and plan on doing the main wheels next inspection.
