It makes the usually messy job of lubing difficult to access rod end bearings, etc., pretty simple. Regardless of where you need to access, you can hold the can upright.
The only problem with them I have noticed is that the material the tubes are made out of seems softer than what normally comes with a can of lube. This causes the tube diam. to collapse after a while and not stay in the can nozzle.
To help mitigate the problem I don't leave it plugged in to the nozzle when not in use, and when it gets to where it wont stay in the nozzle, I cut of 1/8" with a razor blade.
