I see that the wood leg stiffeners can be put on either the front or backside of the gear.
If they are put on the back, I assume a slot is routed for the brake line. Is one side better than the other and what do most builders do in this situation?
I have been told that some builders are not putting stiffiners on.
Does anybody have any experience without them?
I'm building a RV6A and trying to keep it as light as i can get it.
Thanks

Robert,
I don't have any stiffeners on the mains or nose gear of my 6A.
The only time I have ever had a problem was when I over inflated the mains. Once I let the pressure back down to around 35psi everything was back to normal. No shimmy, no shake.
