Default RPM on takeoff

I just bought a RV-9A. It has an O-320 A2B and three bladed Cato FP prop.

The rpm at 55 knots on takeoff roll is only 2150RPM AT 10*C and 1200 pressure altitude. Is this normal? Iím not certain it is developing full power.

Thanks.

Thatís about my Static RPM. Full throttle, brakes holding the plane in place. But I have a 160 HP O320.

I would expect someting in the neighborhood of 2150 RPM static, but would expect it to be a bit higher at 55 knots. If you cruising at 8000' what is the max RPM WOT and ROP?

I'm sure Larry meant to specify 8,000' DENSITY ALTITUDE.

Fixed pitch is always a compromise. If your take-off performance is good enough then I would not change anything.
