this tool gets the job done. i use mineral spirits. ;)

These tools do indeed do a good job, but I feel that a warning is in order.
Please, when using this tool, do NOT EVER think of using any fluid with a low flash point. When the fluid comes out of the nozzle, it is atomized and ready for ignition.
You would not believe how many mechanics I've seen over the years using this tool with the suction tube thrown into the aircraft fuel tank. A disaster just asking to happen.
PLEASE,PLEASE be careful out there!

Breathing that finely atomized chemical mist won't do your lungs any good either -- use an appropriate mask.

Put some big pieces of cardboard under the engine. Depending on how much solvent you use, one layer might be enough to capture all the waste and be easily disposed. The stuff will probably run back a ways on the belly, so put extend the cardboard back a bit.

I have been using Stoddars (sp?) solvent. It does not take much.
