Default part number please

Could you please identify the specific part number? There are multiple versions of the MA-4SPA.
Thanks.

FYI... a $200 offer is not reasonable.

Default more info?

Thanks for the part number. Could you provide more info?
History of carb/age, rebuild status, new blue float?, what engine/airframe/prop was it in service with?

I am currently flying an RV-6A with an O-320D1A with a constant speed prop using a MA-4SPA pn 10-5217. This carb seems to be too lean, and I am considering my options.

Thanks (and no I did not offer $200 for it, but may consider ~$500 depending on the questions above).

Default Richen the Jet

Eric,
All you would need to do for your carb is take out the jet and carefully ream it a couple thousands (at a time - careful, go slow) until you reach the desired EGT and FF you need. Search the threads on this site about this option.

Default re: reaming the jet

Ron,
Thanks for the input. I have read quite a bit on that option, and may well go that way.

What confuses me somewhat is that I had 200+ hours of satisfactory operation before this happened. So I have been chasing everything else I can think of before going into the carb.

If it became lean when it used to be fine, I suggest a tear down and cleaning. It is possible that you got some build up or trash in the jets or the circuit (i.e. passage ways). Also, the float setting could have driffted, which would also affect the delivered fuel rate.
