Default Panel angle

Is the panel angled by design? I just double checked by clecoing the upper skin in place and everything lines up like it should. Is it one of those things that is that way on the gear but different in level flight. Never noticed it until I powered up the G5 and it showed that I wasn't level.

Most GA airplane panels are tilted 8 degrees. Point the gauges toward your head? Seems like at least the 7 & 9 are similar.
