There is a test device that can sniff for fumes, very similar to how your hvac guy looks for CO. I'm fortunate enough that a hangar neighbor has such a device. It simply starts beeping and gets louder the closer to the leak. There doesn't need to be visible fuel leaking, just the presence of fumes will set it off. I have no idea how expensive the device may be. I borrow it every year at the condition inspection.

By golly, that was it! Thank you for your suggestion. I disconnected and capped the line going into the valve and pressurized the system, and it held 50psi solid for several hours. My primary concern is the lines down in the forward part of the tunnel, which I can neither see nor fix without great effort. The rest of them are much more accessible if I start having issues.
