Default Elevator counterweights

For those of you with painted RV-14s, did you need to remove lead from the right elev counterweight and/or add lead to the left counterweight after painting? The plans show trimming the lead weights identically on both sides, and clearly that isn't going to provide anything close to the final configuration given that the trim tab & servo will dictate needing quite a bit more weight on the left side if they are to be balanced independently...
