I like graphs :)

Maneuvering... airspeed and gee force are very closely coupled.

Maneuvering speed is directly related to the airspeed that the full deflection of controls will reach the design gee load (without getting too picky and assuming calm air).

Here is a snapshot of about a minute of highly spirited maneuvering (fight is on) with all the knobs forward...

The design Maneuvering Speed on the RV7 is 142 MPH or 123.5 knots.

In the graphic you see full power with the controls pretty much continuously at full deflection in pulls that appear to track closely with the design parameters.

By definition, Va is the speed where the aircraft stalls just as the g loading reaches the design limit.
