Flap configuration

The flaps have the reflex setting, 0 degrees, 15 and 30 degrees. But I have read on the forum about 10 degrees and other degree settings. I just want to confirm what the flaps settings are.

Depending on what flap control system you fit, you can have whatever settings you want. Most people use the numbers you mentioned with 0 or 15 for take-off.

Rich,
I have configured my flaps with only the following settings

reflex
0 Degrees
15 Degrees
Full

I take off in reflex position unless loaded with pax in rear or full load.

I have mine configured the same: Reflex, 0, 15 and full. I always take off with the flaps deployed to match the left aileron in the "down" position. In other words, move the stick to the right and then match the flap on the left side. Van himself showed me that technique when I watched him fly my RV-10. :)

Thanks. So the purpose of matching the flap to the aileron, more roll authority at a slower speed? Or is it just a good position for the 15 degree setting.
