Prop flange bushing CS

Well Known Member
I'm converting my O-320-B2C hollow crank engine to CS. I had the shop do the crank side, but the flange has the wrong bushings.

The hub is a Hartzell HC-C2YL-1BF. "L" style flange.

I found the threads on Lycoming SI1098N. I "think" it has these on it now... (I'll pull one and mic later today)

72066-S
72067-S
72067-S
72067-S
72067-S
72067-S

I believe the C2YL hub wants...

72065-S
72063-S
72064-S
72063-S
72063-S
72064-S

If anyone out there has done this, I could use a cross check.

And where can I get them for something less than $200 a lug !?!?

Thanks!

I have the same prop HC-C2YL-1BF/F7663-4 and I just had it o-hauled and zero timed. here is what the manual calls for

Stud A-2247-1
Bolt N/A
Nut A-2498
Washer/Spacer A-2482
Spring Pin B-3842-0625
O-Ring C-3317-228

Torque Nut/stud to 45-55 ftlbs

The studs/nuts/pins are about $600.00 for six of each. they came with the o-haul kit

As for the bushing/flange they do not mention them in the book

Call Bob at Aircraft Specialty Services in Tulsa (918-836-6872) and buy serviceable used ones. He will know what you need.

prop flange bushings

The part number bushings that you call out are for a crankshaft with the .27" flange thickness. If your flange is .38" thick, PMA part #'s are available from Continental Motors ( though Aviall )

AEL18817 ( 1 ea. )
AEL18315 ( 3 ea. )
AEL18816 ( 2 ea. )

Kind Regards,

Measurements

My flange is .27"

The bushings are all 3/8" thread

A Bushing - A=0.66" B=1.02" 72066-S
B-F Bushing - A=0.62" B=1.02" 72067-S

I'm pretty confident I need this bushing set;

A - 72065-S A=0.67 B=0.90
B,D,E - 72063-S A=0.62 B=0.90
C,F - 72064-S A=0.62 B=0.48

I tried calling airparts 4x, but Bob was perpetually busy. I'll try others
