Leaking cabin heat door.

Hi all,

I finally sealed most gaps in my cylinder baffles, which did wonders for my CHTs. As an unintended side effect it apparently also increased the flow through the cabin heat muff which exposed the fact than my cabin heat door does not seal properly. Now my right foot is melting from 140F air blowing on it all the time (especially during descent).

What would be a good method of sealing it? Right now all I can think of is sticking some packing tape on the door and running a bead of RTV around the seam while the door is closed. I'm worried though that when I remove the tape there will still be a gap and it won't seal properly.

The control cable seems to be pushing the door all the way (there is a click left in the cable when the door is closed), so I'm not sure if adjusting it will do any good.

Would be happy to hear any suggestions.

Thanks!
