Hi,

Where did you install your magnetometer? Is it the tail section under plastics the best? Any other location used?

I am in the process to install Dynon EDC-D10A magnetometer.

RV-6 Garmin GMU-11

Installed the Garmin GMU-11 Magnetometer under the tail fairing on my RV-6. Was easy to install and the interference plus calibration worked perfect. Had almost nothing show up on the interference check.

i have mounted them in the tail cone like Gary, mid tail cone up high, mid wing & on outboard wing rib, all with good results. Just be mindful to keep magnetometer at least 36" away from any powered components, batteries, servos, strobes or power runs etc.

GRT magnetometer (first analog then digital) mounted on the shelf under the tail fairing, power line to LED tail light runs past it 6" away. No issues at all.

My mounting location - no interference. Electric trim not far away, but didn't register on interference test. Connector is in front of the bulkhead, so should stay dry.
