Canopy inserts

I recently bought a cowl here on VAF, question I have is this. I seem to remember that vans ships cowls with an oil door and some sort of inserts for the front air intakes. Is this correct and if so does anyone have a photo of the inserts please.

Canopy insert or cowling??

By chance are you referring to the "ramps" that mount to the upper cowl to blend the opening to the top inner cowl, and smooth out the airflow into the upper cowl?

And the cowl oil door is PRE-PREG OIL DOOR 7,9 $21.00

The ramps are COWL, INLT.LFT-1 PRE-PREG.INLET LEFT $21.00 COWL, INLT.RHT-1 PRE-PREG.INLET RIGHT $21.00

The inserts I think you're asking about are the inlet/intake ramps that you glass in to the top of the cowl. I can't find a part number (don't have my plans in front of me) but yes... the two intake ramps and the oil door come with the finishing kit.

By the way, those inlet ramps are amazingly important for engine cooling. If you don't have them, get them (unless you're going with a plenum).
