Help-- WHERE is the ELT Remote Switch battery?

No problem changing the ELT battery-- a shop called Touch and Go had them for the usual price with FREE Priority Mail shipping. Got the panel cover off but cannot see anyplace that looks like a battery access. Do I have to pull the darn thing out of the panel?

THANKS

Does it look like this??

Battery is inside, requires taking the unit apart-----------simple and easy to do.

Thanks Joe-- that's what I needed--

Searched and searched for this manual-- tomorrow I'll find it-- after I've changed the battery.

This battery is good for 5 years!

I believe the battery in the remote switch is good for 10 years.

Yes, and it's much easier if you put your own label on the outside with the expiration date marked on it...:)

It's also required by FAR 91.207

......
The new expiration date for replacing (or recharging) the battery must be legibly marked on the outside of the transmitter and entered in the aircraft maintenance record. Paragraph (c)(2) of this section does not apply to batteries (such as water-activated batteries) that are essentially unaffected during probable storage intervals.
......

The remote indicator is a required part of the transmitter.
