C channel on wings

Hey guys this is a stupid question but the edge of the c channel flanges on the main spar are still a pretty rough (not polished) but it has been anodized by Van's. Have you all left them as is or cleaned them up with a file?

Mine are nicely finished. Not polished but milled, with the machining marks parallel to the spar axis, and not deep or many of them. As an old aerospace stress guy, I've gotta say mine are certainly acceptable.

And that's on an RV-3B, which sometimes gets less than the normal factory attention.

I cleaned mine up with scotchbrite pad

Apparently, it is acceptable like that. I've asked Van's support and they said "build on". But it doesn't hurt to at least file out the tool marks found along the "C" channel edges. That is what I did.
