I have 8000plus hours , my son has 60 new private mostly 150/pa18 . To get full coverage on RV8 looks to cost 6000 dollars a year. Anybody have any ideas? Is there a post that covers this? Thanks yard dart

Insurance

For a tail wheel plane, your time in tailwheels and your time in make and model is most important.
I had to have 10 hours make and model to get a quote at all. Also had 35 hours tailwheel.
Insurance 2k.

I just got a quote from Falcon:

- 40k hull on an RV-4
- 190TT / 0TT in TW
- ASEL-IR

~$1750

I highly recommend them. I used Jim Nelson.

Yep, I'd also advise trying Jim Nelson at Falcon (EAA Plan)

- 67k hull on an RV-6A
- 745TT / 375TT in TW
- ASEL

~$1850

Note: Since I didn't have any TW time, I could not get on the "EAA Plan". Mine is underwritten by AIG.
