Titan O360 Questons

I'm considering putting a Titan O360 into a 6A. I'm concerned about the weight, and weight and balance. I also wonder about using a fixed pitch propeller versus a variable pitch propeller. Any advice?

I'm very pleased with the CG range of my 6A with an O360A1A and a constant speed. With 80 lbs. in the baggage bin and 400 lbs. in the seats, I can run it completely out of fuel (not that I plan on doing that) and not go beyond the aft CG limit.

IMO, that combo is the sweet spot for a 6A.
That is what I have, O360A1A fixed pitch.
I pretty much cannot get out of CG no matter what I load. Low maintenance on the FP.
A composite two blade CS would be nice some times, but it?s a big cost hit.

Titan engine

Fit equivalency is very important as are weight and balance concerns. I am wondering if there are any significant issues using a Titan O360 versus using a Lycoming O360.

Stand by for an announcement at Oshkosh for Titan engines specifically configured for VANS aircraft. If you want, email me and I'll send you some specifics sooner.
