G3X and a Hobbs Meter

Where in the G3X is the hobbs data stored? Which part replaced will cause the counters to have to start at 0 again?

Does the G3X have an output to enable a mechanical Hobbs meter at a certain setting? Or would a mechanical oil pressure switch still be the best way to drive that?

The settings for how the Hobbs meter is triggered and how it counts are in the config settings, pg 34-168 of the current rev of the installation manual. It can be set or reset there as well.

If it helps.

If it helps, we use both the G3X and a Hobbs. As has been said above the GDU can be configured to do what you wish, but we like to have a Hobbs on a presser switch to keep track of our oil changes. We use the Hobbs meter to let us know what the run time on the engine is and it also acts as a back-up oil pressure indicator as if you have oil pressure you will see the Hobbs has a small indicator wheel that will be clicking around when you do.
Just what we like about having both, our Hobbs is on a kick panel out of the way along with our ELT remote controller. Yours, R.E.A. III # 80888
