You are a South African bush pilot.
You fly in some critical medical supplies, enjoy a quick lunch at the hospital.
It's a stifling 100 degrees in the shade
and you're eager to get back up to the cool, high blue yonder.

On the way back to your plane,
you discover that the only bit of shade, within 10 miles, has become very popular .

You start calculating the distance to the plane door . and wonder . .

"Do I feel lucky today?"

too bad

Most unfortunate for the gazelle and wildebeast that they fall right into the lion's speed range.

Possible Solution

Pilot say to co-pilot: "We run for the cockpit on three. Ready, one, two, three, GO!"

Pilot waits 4 seconds after co-pilot starts running, then starts running....

I don't think it is a mere coincidence. ;)

"...we will begin boarding from the rear of the cabin. passengers with the cheapest tickets will board first. please have your boarding passes ready at the gate. no need to check your bags."

Hmmm

...need to pencil that in on my pre-flight checklist.

-Check under wings and fuselage for large predators-

But it adds a whole new slant to all those out-of-the way places where you land and see some airplane just abandoned out on the ramp.

"...I dunno, some guy just landed one day and never left..."
