Default Shawn's RV-7 (Desert Garage Works)

I finally got started on actual plane construction (barely) and thought it is a good time to start a progress thread.

The short version, here is where I am at:

Working now to sand down those nasty file marks left from "breaking" the edges.

The LONG version, from the start . . .

I got first taste of an RV about 2 years ago when my cousin took me for a brief ride in his RV-7. From then on I was hooked and knew I need to get one "some day." I read about the kits on the mother-ship website and knew that building one was an experience I wanted.

This past June (2018) I sold my house and moved into one with an awesome garage setup. It has a two car garage and a separate one car garage. At that point I had planned on making the small one-car garage a "shop" for working on r/c planes and other small projects.

Soon after we moved in, my wife decided she much preferred to pull her car straight into the small garage, as opposed to having to make a hard left in the driveway to get into the bigger garage. It was then that the larger two-car garage became mine

Big Garage at move in:

Small one:

My imagination began to fly (pun intended), I immediately thought back to building a plane. But the garage needed some upgrades first . . .

Bought tool box and installed hanging storage rack in each garage (August 2018):

Deer hunting trip with Dad, no luck (First week of November 2018):

TV installed added carpet to tops of work bench, made a shorter table for DRDT-2 so it will be same working height as workbenches, and installed LED shop lights (December 2018):

December 16, 2018: baby Harper born

Same day, hours before her birth, I thought I could do some last minute work running power to the compressor. Was not paying good enough attention when going up ladder to drill hole in the garage ceiling

10 Staples later . . . and maybe a mild concussion

We literally went from urgent care to the hospital so my wife could deliver our baby.

I don't have the least issue with posting photos from Google.

It looks like the Permissions just need to be set, AND the sizes corrected down to 800 or less.

Please tell me photos are working now. Thanks Bill for the tips and DR for bringing the issue to my attention. You were right, I could see the photos when I was logged in but could not when logged out.

Google images is kind of a PIA. I moved all photos to a new shared album but even then they were not working right away. I tried a bunch of ways but it almost seemed like google needed its own time to consider the images as "shared."

Anyway, I hope you all can see now.

I also need to sell the dirt bike to make more room. I never ride anymore. Maybe I am just old enough to be tired of getting hurt on it haha.

Is that a Yammy? I have a YZ250 (not F).

Congrats on the project, house, and baby!
