I recently purchased an F1 Rocket. I am taildragger rated by way of a great local San Diego CFI. I recently broke my hip which means there is no way for me to take the pilot's seat. My instructor is somewhat reluctant to fly the Rocket as he has plenty of time in a Stearman and and Decathalons, but none in an RV or a Rocket.
I am looking for someone that is rated in a Rocket, an RV4 or an RV8 who can fly the plane just to keep the plane free of engine corrosion. I would prefer to find a CFI who could also check my CFI out in the plane.
The aircraft has somewhere near 160 hours and is equipped with the best of everything including a 300 hp IO-540 engine and full glass cockpit. The plane is hangared at Gillespie Field in El Cajon, Ca.
